On the farm
On the tree farm, we're excited about our chest-high saplings. We've lost quite a few trees to disease and deer, but there are enough thriving to keep the dream alive! As our lease situation is changing, we are again waiting to see how God will lead us. On our homestead, we have created a transplant bed (complete with
fencing to keep the deer away) hoping to someday plant them on our
choose-and-cut Christmas tree farm. Our hope is still to find the perfect piece of land to hold our tree farm and a small homestead. While we wait for a more secure piece of land to lease, we are potting our best evergreens to sell, ranging from three to four feet.
